The Book Thief

Let me start this blog off with one omy favourite books! The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak.
This book is about a girl called Liesel Meminger, who lives in Nazi Germany. Liesel is obsessed with books, but this hasn't always been the case! Her love for books begin with a book she finds at the side of her brother's grave. The Grave Digger's Handbook. With the help of her foster father, Liesel learns to read and is stealing books whenever she can.
But when her foster parents hide a Jew in their basement, Liesel starts to see what is really happening in Nazi Germany.
The book is narrated by death, who sees Liesel three times during her life. This book is a real page turner, and I loved reading it! I would recommend this one to anyone! Especially if you like reading about WW2
